SparkyMinis Media-Tech LLP ("we", "us") built Sparky Expenses. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, 2023) and general good practice for a business-to-business SaaS product.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone (optional), organization details you provide during signup.
- Usage data: how you use Sparky Expenses — pages visited, features used, timestamps — to operate and improve the service.
- Business data: the content you and your team create in Sparky Expenses (e.g. bookings, documents, customer records) to run the product for you. This remains yours — see our Terms of Service.
- Payment data: we do not store your card details. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we retain only transaction references and amounts, not card numbers.
2. How we use it
- To provide, maintain, and improve Sparky Expenses.
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and product updates.
- To provide customer support.
- To meet legal and tax obligations (e.g. GST-compliant invoicing).
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Where it's stored
Sparky Expenses runs on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Backups are encrypted and retained on a limited schedule (see our Security page for specifics).
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Sparky Expenses (payment processing, email delivery, hosting) under contractual confidentiality obligations, or when required by law. See our Subprocessors page for the full, named list.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're legally required to retain records (e.g. billing/tax history).
If you're in the European Economic Area or UK, GDPR gives you the same rights above under specific articles — access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), and objection to processing for direct marketing (Art. 21) — plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We process your data under one of these lawful bases: performance of our contract with you (running Sparky Expenses), a legal obligation (e.g. tax records), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and reliable, or your consent (e.g. an optional marketing email), which you can withdraw at any time.
These requests are currently handled manually by contacting us — Sparky Expenses does not yet have a self-service data export or deletion tool.
6. Requesting your data or deleting your account
We built Sparky Expenses because we wanted software that treats the person using it with respect — and that includes respecting your right to leave, and to take your data's fate into your own hands. A deletion request isn't a formality routed into a queue; it's read and actioned by a real person on our team.

- Delete your account and data: [Submit a deletion request](https://sparkyminis.com/contact?from=Sparky Expenses%20Data%20Deletion%20Request)
We aim to acknowledge every request within 2 business days and complete deletions within 30 — usually faster. When we delete your data, we delete it everywhere we control it, not just what's visible to you in the product; the only exception is what we're legally required to keep (e.g. billing/tax records under India's Companies Act and GST rules), and even then only for as long as the law actually requires, never longer.
7. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies we use.
8. Children
Sparky Expenses is a business tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll notify you of material changes to this policy via email or an in-app notice.
